Crude Scale Paraffin Wax

Features:
High Oil Content: Typically contains over 5% oil, which provides good lubricity and flexibility.

Features

1. High Oil Content: Typically contains over 5% oil, which provides good lubricity and flexibility.

2. Darker Color: Generally yellow or brown due to a lower degree of refining and the presence of more impurities and pigments.

3. Lower Melting Point: Generally melts around 50°C - 60°C. Compared to more refined paraffin waxes, its melting point range is slightly lower and broader, making it suitable for applications where precise melting points are not critical.。

4. Lower Hardness: Relatively soft in texture due to the high oil content and low degree of refining, making it suitable for applications requiring softer materials.

5. Higher Impurity Content: Due to a simpler processing method and lack of thorough refining, it contains more impurities such as asphaltenes and gums. These impurities can affect the purity and appearance of the wax, but they may not hinder its use in applications where high purity is not essential.

6. Lower Cost: Due to a simple production process and lower costs, it is less expensive than other refined paraffin wax products. This is an advantage in cost-sensitive industries.

Applications

Due to its characteristics, crude paraffin wax has the following applications:

1. General Industrial Wax: Can be used to manufacture matches, where it’s applied to the matchsticks to aid in flammability and moisture resistance. It can also be used in fiberboard production to provide water and moisture resistance, improving the quality and durability of the fiberboard. Likewise, crude paraffin wax can increase the waterproofness of tarpaulins.

2. Rubber Industry: Used as a softener and plasticizer in rubber processing, improving processing performance and lowering the hardness and viscosity of the rubber, making it easier to mix, mold, and perform other processing operations. It also enhances the flexibility and cold resistance of rubber products.

3. Building Materials: Used in the production of moisture-proof paper, roofing felt, and other building materials, improving their water resistance and impermeability and prolonging their service life.

4. Foundry Industry: In the casting process, crude paraffin wax can be used to create wax patterns. While its precision is not as high as that of some specialized precision casting waxes, crude paraffin can meet the requirements for castings where high precision is not critical, and it offers a lower cost alternative.

5. Agricultural Sector: Can be used for fruit preservation. Coating fruits with a thin layer of crude paraffin wax forms a protective film, reducing moisture evaporation, suppressing respiration, and extending the shelf life of the fruits. It can also be used to create protective coatings for agricultural ropes, nets, and other equipment, providing moisture and corrosion protection.
